Zone Two Residents Hear About New Plan Ideas

Citizens and business owners in the New Plan for Mobile's Zone Two heard about how the planning process is going and heard some of the plans ideas so far. The crowd of about 100 people listened as project coordinator Keith Weaver of EDSA, Inc. laid out the findings from the first public input meetings in March.

Some of those findings included improvements to the Five Points area, places where new commercial corridors can be developed such as on Dr. Martin Luther King Avenue, and housing improvements from around the area.

Zone Two is comprised of neighborhoods directly north and northwest of the Hank Aaron Loop, mainly along Dr. Martin Luther King Avenue. Ideas from the original meetings were processed and tweaked at this week's meeting. The planners will be back around the end of October for final analysis and input.
